Weekend Recap

This weekend was a blast. Friday Randall and I went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse and ordered our usual. Aussie Fries to share, a Cesar Salad for me, Potato Soup for him, and steak and mashed potatoes for our main course. He likes to get the Coconut Shrimp to go with his meal. I on the other hand can't stand any type of sea food. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing at home.

We wanted to make Saturday a day to rest. We slept in as much as possible and when we woke up made a trip to Starbucks, came home and had some yummy pancakes. Later in the day we made a trip to the mall and got a few things and later that night I made a funfetti cake. So good!

Mother's Day was this past Sunday and we had big plans for my mom. My sister and her boyfriend,  my little brother, my husband, and myself took my mom to Point Lobos it was a lot of fun! This was my first time coming to this beautiful place and it was great to see my mom smiling and having the best time. I showed up to her house and brought her a vanilla latte and a dozen red roses with a thoughtful card. Now when I find cards to give to people I always HAVE to make sure the words are something that I would say and reflects my true feelings. What can I say I'm a hard core card finder. Haha I can spend way too much time in the card section at the store to find just the perfect one! My husband thinks it's quite funny. But he gets it. Haha.

When we got into Carmel we stopped at this little restaurant and it was a charming little place it had all sorts or cowboy like decorations. It literally had the whole ceiling covered with cowboy boots and wild stuffed boars and deers on the wall. They looked kinda scary but the food was nice and we all had a great time.

I took so many photos of Point Lobos. The ocean was so beautiful and you can see seals everywhere! The hiking trails thought out the park we so nice. And to me felt encahting! Still to this day I have the love for fairytales. I can thank my mom for that. She always nourished or wild imaginations as kids. I love it! My sister and I kept saying that we needed to dress up like princesses and run though the trails as if we were those little girls again. Funny thing is, I'm sure we would totally do it in this present day haha! Good times.

This weekend I made new memories and got to spend it with my family and most importantly spent time with my mom and treating her to a day dedicated to her! I'm so greatful to have my mom in my life. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all you Mama's out there I hope your day was special!
