Weekend Recap and Rambles

* The outfit I picked out for my maternity photos
Hello Friends,

Over the weekend I visited with my mom and went shopping for an outfit to wear for my maternity photoshoot that is coming up. It was a lot of fun trying on dresses but so tiring at the same time! My feet were hurting! My husband and my older brother installed new breaks on my car and then on our way back home we stopped to drop off some paint for our bedroom makeover. I can't wait to get that started.

* Card and flowers from my sweet husband on Valentine's Day

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and Randall came home and surprised me with flowers and a beautiful card. He took me out to a nice dinner at Outback Steak House. One of my favorite places to eat. The whole evening was lovely and I felt so special and spoiled! He really does treat me so well.

Today has been a warm and lazy day. I am still getting over a cold but already feeling so much better. There has been so much on my mind these past few weeks. I so badly want to start nesting and really start getting things ready for baby. I have all these plans and just need to get the ball rolling and start working on them.

* Randall grabbing some painting supplies and samples of the paint we are going with

This coming up Wednesday, Randall, my husband will be starting on our bedroom and getting it prepped and ready to be painted. I believe he will be painting that day as well. Friday will also be another day of painting and should be completed by then.

We have our new king size mattress coming in the mail next Monday, and so it will be nice to have the room already done drying from the paint so we can set up our bed. We still have so much to do. Moving usually does not bother me but this time around I just want it to already be done. Being pregnant I just want to focus on setting up the nursery area and organizing.

With getting a new size bed, I will need to head out shopping for new sheets and bedding. We have always had a queen size mattress so now we will be starting from scratch when it comes to bedding. We want to invest in some new pillows and new dressers. We have just out grown our old dresser and need something that will hold more clothes and will work in the space we will have leftover from having a bigger mattress to accommodate.

I can't wait to have everything already done and then just relax as much as possible until baby gets here. I have about 10 weeks to go! Our plan is to be moved into our old bedroom by the end of this month so that's about 2 weeks to get the move done and over with.

Everything is about to get very busy and I am excited for the future!

Last Few Days

What a happy and fun last few days it has been. I finally can say I went to the beach. Last Wednesday my husband got off work early and we packed some snacks and headed out to the Boardwalk. We played in the ocean and played a game of mini golf. It was so much fun!  Afterwards we had a sweet treat of the biggest chocolate ice cream cones ever! The day was perfect! On the following Thursday we visited my mom and some family. I found out that my brother and his fiance are expecting their 3rd baby! I am so very happy for them! It has been a very nice last few days.

The weekend was nice and slow. I stayed home mostly due the hubby needing the car for work. I have been playing the Sims 4 a lot recently and it has been fun creating houses and sim characters. I love that game. I am looking forward to a great week and after this coming Wednesday I will have a whole 8 days off of work. I am hoping that sometime with that time off I can do some fun things. Summer vacation is almost to an end. Sometime in August I will be working full time again. It sure has been nice to have this off time.

A few Little Ramblings

The weekend was quiet. I spent my time at home, like I usually do. I honestly really enjoy quiet weekends. I have been watching a lot of Gilmore Girls on Netflix lately. I use to watch that show all the time back in my tween and teen years. I still really like the show and even got my husband to watch it.

Not too much has been going on with me just been enjoying the summer. I have worked a couple days here and there. I am not really looking forward to summer being over. I can't believe we are already well into the month of July. I do however keep thinking about Fall and Winter time. I think those must be my favorite seasons. As I get older I find myself having appreciation for all the seasons and for the most part I enjoyed all the seasons fairly equally. but as the days and time go by I really do find myself having a great love for Fall and Winter. I am excited for the holidays to return in the coming months

This summer I have not really gone out and done too many summery like things. I still really want to visit the beach and go camping. I hope I can make those things happen by the end of the season. This summer I find myself being a little hermit and staying home a lot. I really don't mind it but I think I should get myself moving around and enjoying a whole lot more of the sunshine.

Life has been pretty crazy and yet not really all at the same time. I have been having a lot of thoughts about my future and what I want to do and where I would like to see myself in the next few years. I know the Lord has a plan for me and I trust in him.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

If you would like to a see a bit more of what I have been up to I post photos fairly frequently over on my Instagram account. If you want to come follow me there that would be awesome! You can find me Here

Have a great Monday everyone!

Weekend Recap

Oh how the weekend was good to me! I love being on vacation it is seriously just the best! Over the weekend I pretty much relaxed at home. The hubby and I went out for lunch and since my husband had to work both Saturday and Sunday I was pretty much by myself for a few hours each day. I spent the time napping and watching tv shows and just being lazy! I feel myself letting go of stress and just taking it easy. Sometimes when you are always on the go and always doing something it is just nice to kick back and not worry about anything or having the need to be somewhere. I have so much to be grateful for and I am just going to live life! Summer weather is already here and I am loving it! Here's to a good start to a new week!

Recap

Hello Friends,

I hope you all are enjoying the week. I know it's the middle of the week but I thought I would share what I was up to over the weekend until now. Monday was Memorial Day and I am grateful for the freedom we have in this country because of the brave men and women who have and continue to protect our country. My father was in the US Army during the Vietnam War and as he rests in peace he was definitely on my mind. I can't  believe that this August it will be 3 years since he passed away. Not a day goes by that I don't miss and think of him. He was a great man and a loving father. I have so many wonderful memories.

Over the weekend the hubby had to work the whole time. We did go on a few dates in the evenings when he returned home. On Saturday, we ate dinner at Rock Bottom it is a Bar and Grill place and it was a great experience. The service was great and the food was so delicious. We are definitely  going to go back in the future to try out some other things they have on the menu. After dinner we were so full we headed back home and spent the night watching movies on Netflix.

Sunday, after the hubby got off work we again tried a new place to eat. We went to MOD Pizza and it was really good. The weekend was all about trying new things! After lunch we visited with my mom and some family that came to visit from out of town and took my mom out and we bought new tents for camping and ended the evening at one of my childhood favorite 8 doughnut shops. We had a fun time chatting and eating doughnuts and hanging out. It was a really fun day. I always have so much fun visiting with my mom. She's the best!

On Monday, we stayed at home. Again my husband had to work majority of the day but we did head out to the store to grab a few things and stayed up to watch the new season of The Bachelorette. This season is going to be so juicy!

Tuesday, after work I had a funeral to attend. One of my brothers best friends and someone who was considered  part of the family passed away in a horrible car crash that resulted in 4 deaths and one survivor. It was a tragedy. I will miss him dearly. He was a great friend and such a kind sweet guy. Loss is always a hard thing to overcome and may god comfort all those who are hurting and going through a tough time right now.

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!
Over the weekend my husband and I took it easy. We didn't  go anywhere and other than hubby going to work in the morning we have just been having a pretty restful weekend. As May comes to an end there is so much that I have been thinking about and so much to look forward to. In about 13 days my husband and I will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary and 10 years together. We have a couple of things planned for that and this weekend I have just been day dreaming about it all. I will be taking a few days off from work which will also double as a kick off to my summer vacation work schedule.  After this month I will only be working about 2 days a week until sometime in August. So I am really looking forward  to that! Life is good and right now I am happy. Things are going great and I'm  looking forward  to the future.

Weekend Recap

Over the weekend we celebrated Mother's  Day. I went to church with my mom and took her out for some lunch. We also visited my grandmother's resting place. It was a warm and sunny day and it was fun too. I surpised my mom with a bouquet of roses and lilies. To see her smile was just the best!
I love my mom so much. She is such a beautiful person and has such a kind and loving heart. Thank you mom for all that you have done and all that you do.  You are the best!

Sunday was pretty much the highlight of this weekend. It was a very calm and relaxed few days off of work.

I hope you all had a lovely Mother's  Day and had a splendid weekend!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

The weekend was spent at home. I just couldn't  get myself to leave town this weekend with Apollo in recovery.  He seems to me doing a bit better. But he is still hurt and just taking it easy. We went to the store and bought a few things for Apollo such as a lifted place setting whereApollo's food bowels get placed so he does not need to strain his neck bending down to eat and this way it is leveled to him and his neck stays straight. We also purchased a harness one that attaches and leds in the front as we can no longer lead him on a collar leash because that can further hurt him.  We also needed to buy pill pocket treats for him so we would not have any hassle with trying to give him his medication.

One thing  that really upset me this weekend is that I was eagerly waiting all day for a phone call from the vet to get an update on Apollo's blood test results and my phone never rang but did manage to receive a voicemail! I was so frustrated because in the voicemail  I did not get any infromation but to call back on Tuesday. Grrr. So I spent the weekend worrying  about what the results showed. I pray and hope it is nothing bad. My poor pup has been through enough.

It has just been a crazy weekend and I really am looking forward to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope the new week gets better.

Hope you all had a fun weekend!

Weekend Recap

Hello Friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are having a great Monday! Over the weekend I had to work and then had Sunday to relax and spend some time with my mom. We went to church and went out for lunch in celebration of my husband's birthday.  We went to Panera Bread and had a fun time. When I returned home I had lazy evening watching Degrassi and it was a great day off. Church really spoke to my heart and I am ready to start this week off on a positive note!

Weekend Recap

Monday is here and so is another work week. I am so grateful  that I had a week off from work. Even though I spent the majority of it being sick. I spent the weekend still sick and laying around the house.  I really didn't  do much of anything but rest. My husband caught a cold too so we just had a Degrassi marathon on the tv and spent the days resting. My husband was quite the tropper though,  since he started a new job he has not taken any sick days so he is just been pushing  through this cold. Thankfully he has not gotten as sick as I was. Sunday was just a icky day for me. I think I got some kind of food posioning because on top of getting over a cold I was having horrible tummy aches and a crazy migraine. I went to bed early and woke up this morning feeling so much better. I hope the rest of the week goes better.

Hope you all had a great Monday.

Weekend Recap

Hi!
This weekend was a blast. It was a fun time with family and it went by so quickly. Friday my husband and I went on a date. We grabbed some dinner and a smoothie and spent a lot of time just driving around and window shopping. The night was pretty relaxing and it was a fun day.

Saturday was a big day! My husband and I took our niece and nephew they are 3 and 5 years old, to Gilroy Gardens. We met up with my mom, brother, sisiter in law, and my other two nieces. Which are 3 and the other is about to turn 7. Also my uncle and my 2 cousins showed up and it was just a lot of fun. It was all about the kids and letting them have fun. We spent hours there and the kids were so happy.

Sunday, we slept in so late! We were so tired from all the sunshine and walking we did the day before. The hubby and I went out for the usual bagels and coffee and spent the day at home.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

Hello! Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and your Monday got off to a great start. Over this weekend the weather was beautiful. On Friday and Saturday my husband and I went to the property and got to visit with some family and good friends. It was a really fun time. Everyone was camping out. My husband and I did not camp with everyone, instead we just showed up late friday night and enjoyed a great warm fire and laughed with family and friends. On Saturday we went back up the hill and stayed for the day. When we got home it was about 6:00 in the evening we spent the rest of the evening at home watching shows.

Sunday, my husband and I went out for bagels and a coffee. Since I have cut out coffee from my diet for a little while,  I got myself a peppermint hot chocolate.  It was delicious!  Afterwards we went back to the house and literally lounged in our room all day we watched shows and it made the day seem so much longer which I really didint mind at all! It was a nice quiet way to put an end to the weekend.

Monday has been a bit crazy but then again it is Monday so I suppose it was to be expected.  The afternoon has been nice. Work went well and I am looking forward to eatting spaghetti tonight for dinner.

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

This weekend went by way too fast. I wish I had one extra day off. The weather this weekend was beautiful. The nights were so warm and it felt like summer. I am loving all the Spring vibes and spent a lot of time outdoors.

Friday was quite the adventure. After I got off work I somehow decided on leaving my keys in the car as I went inside of the bank. Boy was I beyond irritated when I found out I was stranded without my phone and keys. Thankfully I was able to make a few phones calls inside the bank and my husband showed up with my sister in law with our spare key to the car. Lesson learned!

After all of that, my husband and I went on our date. We ate some dinner and saw the new Cinderella movie. Saturday, we woke up and grabbed ourselves some bagels and browsed around the shopping centers and the mall. It was a very relaxed day.

On Sunday, we went to visit my mom and got a surprised visit from some of my family memebers that live in Mexico. It was nice seeing them. When my husband and I got home a few hours later, we uploaded our vlog and spent the rest of the evening watching movies and taking advantage of the rest of the weekend.

Now it's back to another work week and the first day of Spring is almost here. I can't wait!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

Over the weekend I spent my time lounging around the house and playing the Sims 4. My husband and I watched some shows on the Tv and pretty much had a very relaxing weekend.

Friday, we had a little date night and went out to eat. We did our weekly shopping and spent the majority of the time at home.

Saturday,  we woke up early! We just woke up in the morning and couldn't fall back asleep so we got ready for the day and went out for a nice breakfast.  PANCAKES! Yum! And then we didn't really know what else to do with the day. We thought about going to the Flea Market or going to the Mall and look around, but we just felt like spending the day at home watching shows and what not on Tv and Netflix. We got some coffee and I played the Sims 4 for the rest of the night while he played his Pokemon game on his Ds. It was a simple day.

Sunday, we did our little ritual coffee and a bagel and went to Church. It was a very chill weekend. And I wouldn't have had it any other way!

Hope you all had a nice weekend! Lets make this new week the best!

Weekend Recap

Good Morning,
Over the weekend there was so many decisions to pan out for the upcoming summer. My husband and I have been thinking hard about possibly moving in May. As we looked into everything, at the moment, we plan to just stay where we are. We would love to move to a different place, especially with us wanting grow our family in only 2 months! At least where we are now, we can save our money which will be greatly beneficial. I have been telling myself, that just because it might not be the right time right now, does not mean that it won't be the right time sometime down the road. I will keep praying on this and I know God will lead the way.

I visited with my mom over the weekend, it is always so fun visiting with her. I love being able to share my baby fever and plans with her. She gives the best advice and is always there to support me. I am no where near ready to return back to a full week of work. It is going to be a tough week, with long work days and pushing myself harder at the gym. It will all be so worth it in the end. I have only 66 days to reach my weight loss goal. So this is going to happen!

Weekend Recap

Hello! Happy Monday!

The weather this weekend was absoutley beautiful. The whole weekend was really nice. Valentine's Day was Saturday and the hubby and I had a wonderful day. We started off our day with getting some breakfast burritos at our favorite little Taqueria. Afterwards we went into an old fashion doughtnut bakery and  grabbed ourselves a doughnut each for a treat we would eat later. We decided to get doughnuts in replacement of going to the candy store.

My husband bought me the most beautiful card ever with a little bag of my favorite Lindt truffles. I had a little and silly surpsise waiting him in the car that morning. My husband loves gummy bears so for his little gift I bought him a bag of gummy bears and wrote a little note that I attached to it saying, "Life without would be unBEARable haha it was silly but it made him smile and he loved it!

We went to a few stores and window browsed and then later that evening we went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. It was so declious. The whole day was just so lovely and so easy going and simple.

Sunday, we woke up early and headed over to my mom's house and went out to breakfast at Denny's. I had some pancakes and afterwards we went to the store with my mom and just looked around for a little while. We all went to church later that evening and it was a really good sermon. I felt so refreshed and ready to go into the new week.

With all the sweets and heavy eating we did this weekend, it is time to get back on track with our healthy eating. It's back to another week at the gym!

Weekend Recap: Wedding At Yosemite!

* This was the background view as my sister and her husband said their vows to each other. So pretty!

Hello Friends!

This weekend was seriously a blast! My husband and I got to be witnesses to my older sister getting married. She and her now husband had a destination wedding/elopement in Yosemite.  It was so beautiful everything went great and the trip was so much fun!

We left early Friday morning, and made it to our destination a few hours later. It was a pretty long ride. It was also raining like crazy and there was an expectant storm on the way. We made it to the Yurts safely and unpacked our stuff and settled in for the night.

On Saturday, my sister got married and everything went smoothly. We woke up early in the morning and I helped her get ready. I had a lot of responsibilities for this big day and I am so glad that everything got done in a timely manner and nothing went wrong! Phew!!! Some of the things I had to do was hair and makeup and help my sister get into her wedding dress and keep her dress from dragging on the floor so it would-int get muddy. My sister was so thrilled about the rain and the clouds were so beautiful. And as the saying goes, if you get married when it rains it is good luck!

I also was the main photographer a long with the grooms sister who also was taking pictures. I am so glad that my husband got some videos throughout the day and recorded the whole ceremony. He is working on making a picture slide show and video to give to my sister and my new brother in law!

The last days of our trip to Yosemite, we all went sight seeing. It was my husband's first time being in Yosemite and it was a lot of fun to do some trail hiking and taking pictures next to the big waterfalls and I took a lot of photos of Yosemite Park it is so beautiful!

It was a great little vacation and I am so happy for my sister!

Hope you all had a wonderful Monday! It's back to work for me in the morning.

Weekend Recap

Hello Friends,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! On Friday the husband and I went out on a date. We went to Red Robin and it was so nice to sit down and eat a good meal and get out of the house. We had great conversations and had a nice time remembering my dad. I miss him so much, I know he would be proud of me and my husband.

Saturday, I spent the day with my mom and we spent the morning looking at my last years Project Life album and my mom and my aunt were working on some flower head pieces for my sister's hair for her wedding day. They came out so pretty! Afterward we went to Hobby Lobby and spent a lot of time looking at pretty much every isle in the store. I really like that store they have so much stuff!

Sunday, I spent the afternoon working on my sister's hair and doing trail runs for how she would like to have her makeup for her special day. She was so excited and I just loved seeing her so happy. Sunday was also my husband's grandfather's birthday and this year they decided to throw him a party to celebrate his birthday and double as a Super Bowl party. We were originally going to stay at my sister's to watch the football game but changed that part of our plans when we found out about his grandfather having a party for his birthday this year.

I am happy that I only have a 4 day work week and I am excited for this weekend. On Friday we will be leaving for my sister's destination wedding!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was pretty good, I caught up on a lot of sleep and was able to unwind and take it easy. For the most part I spent my weekend at home. It is where I wanted to spent my time. Hiding away in my room catching up with some shows and I even started working on my Project Life scrapbook album. I haven't printed any photos yet, as I am waiting for the end of the month to do so, but it was a lot of fun getting everything all set up so I will be having a post up hopefully sometime during this week and share with you all what I have going on with my album so far. Yay!

This weekend I also went to a little BBQ for my older sister who will be getting married in a few weeks from now. She was glowing and it was so nice to see her so happy and full of life and excited for her big day. She will be having a pretty small wedding. She wants to elope and so other than myself and my husband, the only other witness will be the grooms sister. Very small and private but it will be amazing! So happy for her and for her future!

Now, it's back to another crazy work week! I hope your Monday is treating you good and you all are having a wonderful day!

Weekend Recap

It has been a really lovely weekend my friends! I kept pushing forward with going to the gym and sticking to my resolutions! I know it is still early in the year, but I do feel so encouraged with everything.

Friday was a super crazy and busy day for me. I had work and had to run a lot errands. Saturday, was by far the best day of the weekend. I woke up early and my husband and I went to visit with my mom. We had such a great day. There was great conversations, laughs and really just what I needed to unwind from all the work I have been doing. We went shopping and had a yummy lunch at Togo's. I had so much fun and the time just went by so fast, before I knew it is was time to head home. I really love visiting with my mom. She is one of my bet friends and has always been there for me. I am excited to see how much our relationship continues to grow. Love you mom!

Sunday, my husband pretty much took over the tv for most of the morning, watching the Football game. So while he was busy with that I took myself to Marshall's and just had a look around. I always enjoy window shopping. That store is awesome and has a lot of great prices! I was able to find an eye cream that I had been wanting to get but was just way too expensive, and bought it for only 10 dollars! Like seriously what a deal! I walked away happy and content. The rest of the evening was spent at home with my love and we watched Netflix and just kept things simple.

I have today off from work and other than going to the gym and doing my daily workout routine, I plan to just relax and enjoy my last day off before work starts again tomorrow.

Happy Monday Friends!
