Recap

Hello Friends,

I hope you all are enjoying the week. I know it's the middle of the week but I thought I would share what I was up to over the weekend until now. Monday was Memorial Day and I am grateful for the freedom we have in this country because of the brave men and women who have and continue to protect our country. My father was in the US Army during the Vietnam War and as he rests in peace he was definitely on my mind. I can't  believe that this August it will be 3 years since he passed away. Not a day goes by that I don't miss and think of him. He was a great man and a loving father. I have so many wonderful memories.

Over the weekend the hubby had to work the whole time. We did go on a few dates in the evenings when he returned home. On Saturday, we ate dinner at Rock Bottom it is a Bar and Grill place and it was a great experience. The service was great and the food was so delicious. We are definitely  going to go back in the future to try out some other things they have on the menu. After dinner we were so full we headed back home and spent the night watching movies on Netflix.

Sunday, after the hubby got off work we again tried a new place to eat. We went to MOD Pizza and it was really good. The weekend was all about trying new things! After lunch we visited with my mom and some family that came to visit from out of town and took my mom out and we bought new tents for camping and ended the evening at one of my childhood favorite 8 doughnut shops. We had a fun time chatting and eating doughnuts and hanging out. It was a really fun day. I always have so much fun visiting with my mom. She's the best!

On Monday, we stayed at home. Again my husband had to work majority of the day but we did head out to the store to grab a few things and stayed up to watch the new season of The Bachelorette. This season is going to be so juicy!

Tuesday, after work I had a funeral to attend. One of my brothers best friends and someone who was considered  part of the family passed away in a horrible car crash that resulted in 4 deaths and one survivor. It was a tragedy. I will miss him dearly. He was a great friend and such a kind sweet guy. Loss is always a hard thing to overcome and may god comfort all those who are hurting and going through a tough time right now.
