Weekend Recap
Happy Monday!
It's back to a full work week. The vacation time was awesome and exactly what I needed. Now it's time to get back into a regular work schedule and routine. Over the weekend I spent my time really soaking up and enjoying the last bit of my time off work. I was going to bed and waking up late, and when I woke up I would start my day with a hot cup of coffee. This weekend was filled with cozy pajamas, Netflix, internet surfing, and catching up on regular shows on cable. I have been very focused on getting organized and keeping my motivation and inspiration strong.
On Sunday, I was working on a little bedroom make over. I finally got around to decorating the wall behind my bed. I strung white lights and pinned some of my favorite photos between the little lights using clothes pins. I really think it looks great. I went to my local dollar store to pick up a few things and I found a really lovely wall decal. It says " With God All Things Are Possible" I just really love that quote and it speaks to me. I used that on the wall as well. Everything came out wonderful. We don't have a head board to our bed so there really needed something to make the bed area a focal point in the room and now there is!
I also spent a good amount of time on Sunday organizing all my scrapbooking supplies, and got my craft crate organized. Doing that, will make it easier for me to find things when I go to work on a Project Life layout, A few months ago, I had made some plans as to what I wanted to do with my Project Life album, and now I'm back to thinking of what I want to do. I'm pretty sure that I will be doing a 12x12 album again and doing something else with the 6x8 albums. Think, think, think! I was originally going to do just the 6x8 albums, but this year is a very exciting year and with another photo project I'm working on I think the 12x12 album will be a better option for the full year. I will most likely be doing a separate post later in the future sharing my thoughts and plans for Project Life. If you not familiar with Project Life, it is a method of scrapbooking where you use pocket pages and patterned cards to tell your story and document everyday life and display photos. I just love it!
I hope you all had a great weekend and the new year is treating you right!
