This weekend was a blast! Halloween fun and getting an extra hour of sleep due to day light savings, I had a great weekend. Friday my boss gave me the day off from work which was a very nice surprise and I spent the entire day with my niece and nephews. I had a lot of fun things planned for them!
First on the list of funness was to help the kids do a Halloween art project. They got to glue down a pumpkin and decorate it. After nap time, the kids got to help me bake cupcakes. They each took turns pouring in the ingredients and mixing the batter together. While they were waiting ever so patiently for the cupcakes to bake and cool off, I gave them each their Halloween bucket they were so happy and spent a lot of time coloring in their new coloring books. The kids had a lot of fun decorating their cupcakes and especially eating them. Later in the evening they got dressed into their costumes and we took them trick or treating it was a great day!
Saturday, for the majority of the day at home winding down from Fridays fun. I spent some time with my sister and we had a delicious lunch/dinner. Afterwards the hubby and I watched movies together at home and that was pretty much our day.
Sunday, was a super lazy day! When we woke up the my husband and I stayed in bed and watched a few shows then got up and drank some coffee while we made pancakes together for breakfast. It was a lot of fun! We just stayed at home and relaxed. The time change was so strange and threw us off a bit. I am loving that it is darker longer now. I'm so excited for this new month. Let the holidays continue!
Happy Monday!
