Day Twelve Prompt: Best Advice I've Been Given #Blogtober14
There is a lot of good advice I have been given over the course of my 24 years of living. It's actually quite hard for me to think of the best when there is so many and all considered "best" but for the sake of being able to write an answer to this question, I'll just pick one to share.
When I was in my teens, and a little before that, I was always being told, "stay young" and "Enjoy being young, don't try to grow up too fast" of course when you are a teen and coming into your own self and trying to navigate the world and thinking you always know everything even when you don't, this statement, and advice always kinda went over my head. I couldn't wait to be an adult and do whatever I wanted, with no one telling me what to do or give me restrictions or barriers to jump over. Being almost 25, I really wish I had taken that advice and just focused on being a kid.
I find that now that I am that adult, I miss my childhood. I always think " if only I would go back in time..." I would take in each moment and really be present in them. I have so many fond memories of my childhood and how it was filled with love, support, laughter, encouragement, traditions, and a great sense of family.
Even though I cant go back in time and relive the years of childhood, I now am more aware of trying to be in the present and fully take in each season of my life. There is so much that life has to offer. Enjoy each day and the company around you. After all every second turns into a past memory
