Weekend Recap
Hello Friends! Monday is here once again. It never fails to show up does it? haha I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was eventful for sure. I kicked off the weekend with a nice dinner date with my husband and came back home and watched some movies.
Saturday, my husband and I went to the store and picked up a few things for the up coming Halloween party. We picked up a lot of cute stuff! The dollar store by my house has a whole section dedicated to Halloween stuff and there was so many good finds! I have to do a lot of baking for the party as well so I picked up some card board cup cake carriers so I can transport all 36 cupcakes to the party location.
Later that evening my sister in law and myself made a fun trip to Ulta the beauty store, and browsed around at all the makeup . I was being a good girl and left with only spending 4 dollars on a lip stick! We then made a stop at Marshals it was our first time going into that store and they have so many nice things! It kind of reminds me of a Ross. I left the store with a few make up organizing supplies.
On Sunday morning, I unfortunately was told some very saddening news. Our family parrot that lived at my mom's house passed away. It just broke my heart to have to come to terms with it. Some of you guys that have been reading my blog for some time now, know that my father passed away from lung cancer, this bird was my dad's and in a way it's like we have lost the last "connection" or "piece" of my dad. The bird was in our family for over 13 years and although I knew he was most likely not going to live to his full potential after my dad passed way 2 years ago, (the bird was stressed and very attached to my dad) it's still hard to believe it. My dad loved this bird and was his greatest little companion. Tanto you will be deeply missed. May you rest in peace you are now with your papa.
Throughout the rest of the day it just felt strange and sad. My husband and I had plans to go and see the classic film Gone With The Wind in theaters. We decided that we would follow through with our plans. I am so glad we did. The movie was a nice way to get my mind off of everything and I just love watching classic films. We had a good time.
I'm looking forward to having a better week. I'll be seeing my sister sometime this week to continue with the Halloween planning!
