One Week, Then We Move

We have only one week left in the quiet little studio of ours. Im happy to say I will be leaving this place with lots of wonderful memories to take with me. I remember the first dinner we cooked when we moved in. My husband made what we have gotten used to calling it, Seasoned Chicken and mashed potatoes. We will have to try and make it one last time while we are still in the little place. We spent our first Christmas as a married couple in our home with our own little christmas tree and brought in the new year while living here. Part of me will be sad to not have a place where it is just the two of us, but I believe that the Lord has greater plans for us.

Over the weekend I spent most of my time cleaning and painting. I have big plans for my bedroom and in the process my sister in law is also redoing her room. She will be in the room next to ours, as she too lives with my husband's grandparents. Tonight I will be packing some more things that we can drop off before this coming up Saturday, which will be our final day here and the day we will be moving all of our large furniture in my mom's truck. AH so much to do!

As with most things that take a lot of organization, one of my favorite organizing tools to use is making lists. Lots and lots of lists haha If I wanted to I could have a list for everything and I quite enjoy making them and get so much gratification from crossing things off. I feel a good sense of accomplishment. So naturally I have put together a few lists to help keep me organize during this move.

Things Left To Pack:

Kitchen:
  • All dried food/ refrigorated food gets brought to grandparents house on Friday
  • Box up dishes and kitchen utenitls and cooking supplies
  • Box up all cleaning products from kitchen and bathroom
Bathroom:
  •  Box up all bathroom items: shampoo, soaps, etc.
  • Box up bathroom vanity set
Dresser/Bedroom:
  • Place all clothing into large bags for eassy access and transportation
  • Place all blankets and pillows for trasportation
  • Take down curtains and rods

This is what is on my list that I have left to do. I'm glad I don't have much left and thanking myself that we have already dropped off most of our stuff at the other house. Everything that is already there will pretty much just stay in boxes until the day comes to move again. Sorry this was such a long post, and thank you all for taking the time to read this little blog of mine. I really appreciate it!
