Easter Weekend Recap

Saturday my husband and I spent it with his family at Visona Park and had a nice BBQ. The weather was warm and comforting. On Easter Sunday we went to the Uvis with my mom. My mom packed a nice picnic and we talked about my dad and the memories I had of being a child and going fishing with him at this very same reservoir.  My mom and dad have always loved nature and as a small child we were always going camping and traveling as a family exploring new fun places somewhat near to home. Being at the Uvis Resivor brought back fun memories and it was nice to be able to share these with my husband and get to hear my moms memories of our time spent there. We climbed up the rocky hills and took a rest under the same trees that my dad favored at this location. he would set up his fishing equpiment and we would try to catch fish all day. I remember my brother and I running around and playing in the water and using our crazy imagination. Thinking there were mermaids and pirates and elfs and fairies hiding. The day was well spent and a day to think and thank the Lord for everything. I am grateful that he gave us the gift of memories so that people we love and miss we can cherish them forever in our hearts.
