My Mornings

This past weekend consisted of long cozy mornings, coffee, lounging around the house, and catching up on tv shows. Saturday mornings are particularly my favorite. There is just something so warm and comforting about spending the morning with my husband, talking about anything and everything over a cup of hot coffee and a good breakfast.

I also stayed up way to late for my own good, and now have to get used to waking up early for the work week. See the way I think of it is like this, I want to stay up as late as I can when I don't have work the following morning so I can get the most out of my free time to do what I want and to relax, but the morning always comes, and I always end up being way to tired when it's back to regular work schedule. haha I dunno, but I do enjoy my time so I guess that's whats most important, even if I am struggling and dreading to get out of bed come Monday morning.

Then there are the mornings where you know you have to get going and your expected to be somewhere at a certain time but your bed just makes you supper lazy. Every which way you turn becomes more comfortable than the next. Every position becomes the best and coziest and it seems as though there is no way in hell you are going to be leaving that comfy nest. I have those mornings and those are the mornings where I find myself rushing out the door!  Awhile back I mentioned here on Little Bird that I wanted to make the most out of my mornings, and I think I am doing pretty good in accomplishing that. I try to give myself a full hour in the mornings (no matter how sleepy I am) before heading out to work to really get a good start on my day. I am now able to sit and have breakfast and get dressed slowly and calmly, catch up on reading my favorite blogs and just enjoy that piece quiet time of the day. It's been really nice, and I plan on keeping this routine.
